While the City Sleeps
Nach dem Tod des Medienmachthabers Amos Kyne vererbt er sein ganzes Unternehmen seinem Sohn Walter. Dieser beschließt jedoch, das Unternehmen nicht selber zu führen. Er entscheidet, dass derjenige, der eine exklusive Geschichte über den gerade in der Stadt sein Unwesen treibenden Serienmörder schreibt, den Job als Geschäftsführer erhält. Es bricht ein Machtkampf aus, da jeder diesen Job haben will.
