The Rains of Ranchipur
Auf Einladung der Maharani kommt Lord Alan Esketh mit seiner Frau Edwina nach Ranchipur. Immer an Ablenkung durch andere Männer interessiert, fällt der Blick Edwinas wohlwollend auf den Adoptivsohn der Maharani, den Arzt Dr. Safti. Safti bleibt den Annäherungsversuchen Edwinas gegenüber standhaft, was diese nur umso mehr anstachelt - bis sie feststellen muss, dass sie sich wirklich in Safti verliebt hat. Auch er hegt eigentlich tiefe Gefühle für sie, doch sintflutartige Regenfälle, ein Erdbeben und ein Dammbruch lassen ihn andere Prioritäten setzen.
