The Manchurian Candidate
Der hochdekorierte, als Held gefeierte Soldat Raymond Shaw (Laurence Harvey) kehrt zusammen mit Major Ben Marco (Frank Sinatra) aus dem Korea-Krieg zurück. Was niemand ahnt: Finstere Kommunisten haben die Soldaten einer Gehirnwäsche unterzogen und sie zu willenlosen Mördern umprogrammiert. Sie sollen das Staatssystem der USA zerstören. Doch Marco leidet immer stärker unter schlimmen Alpträumen und glaubt, dass mit Shaw etwas nicht stimmt. Er setzt alles daran, Licht hinter das dunkle Geheimnis zu bringen…
