Outside the Law
In den 1920er Jahren wird die Familie der Brüder Said, Messaoud und Abdelkader aus ihrem Heimatdorf im französisch besetzten Algerien nach Paris vertrieben. Said gewöhnt sich dort an das Leben auf der Straße und macht Halbweltkarriere, derweil Messaoud als Soldat in den Indochinakrieg zieht. Was er dort sieht, erinnert ihn an Erlebtes, nach seiner Rückkehr schließt er sich der Untergrundbewegung FNL an. Die FNL organisiert Widerstand sowohl in Algerien als auch in Frankreich, und Abdelkader spielt dort schon länger eine tragende Rolle.
