Born into Brothels
Die mit einem Oscar ausgezeichnete Dokumentation zeigt das Leben von Prostituierten im Rotlichtviertel von Songachi, Kalkutta. Die Regisseurin Zana Briski hat die Prostituierten fotografiert, als sie ihre Kinder kennengelernt und sich mit ihnen angefreundet hat. Briski fing an, den Kindern Fotografieunterricht zu geben und wurde sich bewusst, dass ihre Fotografie ein Weg für sie sein könnte, ein besseres Leben zu führen.
